what we're on about
We believe that we have been placed
in the city for this time and this era in order for people
to seek out God and find Him.
Our desire is to see the city transformed as people come to
experience the love, grace, mercy and goodness of God, through
the knowledge of His salvation.
We are here to see a Kingdom of Heaven culture established
in the city and in the lives of the people.
A Kingdom culture
is:
- A culture of grace – where people live in the unmerited
and unlimited favor of God and experience a life of freedom
and fullness in Him, free from guilt and condemnation and
free from sin.
- A culture of preaching the Gospel – We want to
see the good news about Jesus preached into this city, this
nation and the nations of the world. The Gospel of Jesus
is the central focus of what we preach because in the gospel
is the power of God for salvation and through the revelation
of this truth people are transformed.
- A culture of signs, wonders and miracles – We see
throughout scripture from the old testament and in the new
testament, that God enabled His people to perform signs,
wonders and miracles. Because God is a supernatural being
and the Kingdom of Heaven is a supernatural place, we believe
through the word of God that when there is an invasion of
Heaven into earth that supernatural things will take place
such as people being healed. We believe that this is the
normal
Christian life, to walk naturally supernatural.
- A culture of worship – We desire to worship the true living
God because of who He is and what He has done. We worship
Him because He first loved us and so we have an open door
into His love and His presence. We see worship as a lifestyle
and not as a Sunday event. We desire to continually have deep and intimate
worship in the presence and glory of our Heavenly Father.
- A culture of family and community - According to
scripture 'church' is not simply a place to go on
a Sunday morning or for prayer. It is not just a building or congregational gathering. Church
is the believers of Jesus Christ. It is those who have
been saved. We want to see communities formed of people
who first love God, then love each other, love the city
and love the nations. We do not see denominational barriers,
as we believe that God does not see His church divided by
differences. We are committed to the whole body of Christ.
This forms the basis of why we have a desire to reach the nations
of this world. We have also developed relationships with men and woman around
the world who carry similar vision and who carry gifting's that
we recognise. We are committed to working with these friends in seeing the fullness of what
Jesus has planned for His church. We are constantly having
our friends come in to minister and we also send teams out into
nations to help in the work they are doing into
the cities and nations they are based in and work into. It
is all based on relationship.
